The Surgery Center at Southwestern Medical Center

Outpatient/ambulatory care involves less extensive procedures that do not require a patient to stay overnight. A medical provider will refer the patient to our ambulatory facility when surgical intervention is required, but prolonged hospital care is not

The goal of The Surgery Center is to provide patients and families with the highest level of quality surgical care in an environment that is conducive to a rapid and comfortable recovery. The professionally trained team strives to personalize services for patients and their families, as well as the surgeons using the facility.

After a physician has determined a surgical procedure is necessary and may be appropriately performed on an ambulatory basis, the patient may be scheduled for a procedure at The Surgery Center. A member of the team will contact the patient prior to any scheduled surgery to obtain all pertinent information and answer any questions.
