Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Outpatient pulmonary rehab is designed to help improve the symptoms of chronic (long-term) lung disease. Healthcare providers guide you through physical activities (based on your tolerance level), education, and techniques to help you manage your breathing during everyday activities.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is recommended for patients with lung disease who experience shortness of breath frequently and are not able to perform daily activities despite daily use of medication. This program is optimal for anyone with a diagnosis of COPD or other types of chronic lung disease that limit breathing and performance of normal daily activities.
